Miniature worlds are on the horizon: Those, who depend on micrometer scale precision, will find all-embracing solutions at the MicroNanoTec, Germany’s unique trade show for commercial micro applications. During the last years, the trade show has firmly established itself as an ideal platform for promising key technologies. „Microtechnology ist the future key to success with regard to energy saving“, predicts Dr. Uwe Kleinkes, CEO of the IVAM Microtechnology Network. “Apart from the manufacturing of micro structured components, particularly energy-efficient systems come to fore. Saving energy within processes and in day-to-day production means to save cash money.”

“Energy harvesting” seems to be the keyword to success in 2010. The power supply of wireless sensor systems is getting more and more interesting for a lot of applications.
