Workshop - IFA meets Green Electronics
The demands of our IT society have led to more and more electronics in our private and professional environments. Although recycling, less power consumption, both in terms of device requirements and in their use, and fewer toxic materials have improved ecological efficiency, greater lot sizes are causing increasing environmental damage. Manufacturers and their suppliers have to take steps to counteract this trend.
Every year, the latest consumer and household electronics innovations are presented at the trade show IFA Berlin. Particularly such mass-produced articles should not only satisfy the modern consumer’s requirements and have a contemporary design, but also make a key contribution to “greener electronics”. This is also an opportunity in these times of increasing competition because consumers are placing more weight on environmental considerations when making purchasing decisions and companies would be well advised to do more than just fulfill legal obligations.
